There are far too many birthday themes to sort through and get overwhelmed by that usually end up costing a fortune or are way to over the top for a baby birthday when they won't remember it in the first place. So, what themes would be cute, fun, affordable, and photo-worthy? Look no further! I've got a few...

Let's start with a boys' party theme. We don't want to go beige and boring because though the first birthday party is more for the parents than it is for the kids, we still want them to have all of the fun.

The first thing that comes to mind immediately is ducks and bubbles. Simple, cute, and two things that babies are obsessed with. So, where do we begin? Let's start with table decor. Finding what kind of tablecloth, plates, napkins, etc. will help form the theme for everything else that you need.

This set that I found is super cute, not too crazy, with colors that aren't screaming the word "burn" at your retinas. It's a soft and sweet theme that everyone will love.

We can't forget the best part of a party, which is the cake. These are perfect whether you are a cupcake parent, or a cake parent. These two options would look so cute both on their own or mixed together to create a little variety. We have the standard matching cardstock circle design, and we also have little 3d ducks. Although these ducks do have the cupcake insert on them, you could also draw inspiration from these and just buy little yellow ducks to put on top for the kids to take home after! Either way these adorable toppers are without doubt the best options to team together.

As a fun little touch whether it ends up sitting as a centerpiece on a table, or on your baby's head, check out this super adorable cloth party hat. Soft and durable, this fun addition to the party can be used for multiple other occasions, including during their first birthday photoshoot! It is also neutral, so if you have a girl later, it can be reused for her too!

Looking to decorate the baby's space as well? I told you I've got your back. I went and found the cutest little highchair banner you will ever see! It can be used for one-year pictures, and then you can use it again for their chair during the party. We love a good multi-use product. The materials used to create this masterpiece are also durable and able to be saved for future use of yourself or friends' future offspring.

A celebration is never complete without a cute banner to announce what is happening, right? Look no further, these ducks are bringing the party straight to you. Splish Splash these ducks are taking their baths, and also doing the most to show how happy this birthday is going to be! While there is a wide variety of banner options, I found that a lot of them had at least one duck drinking what could only possibly be a cocktail of sorts, and while it was still cute, we are trying to keep this party for the kids. If they can't have a stiff drink, neither can the ducks! This particular sign not only keeps everything PG, looks cute and fun, but also ties in with the balloons to draw the eyes to the specific areas you want them to focus on. While it is bolder in color than some of the other decor, it does also have some of the pastel blues mixed in and really pulls everything together.

Finally, in case you forgot, it's not a kid's party without balloons. I found the cutest ones that go PERFECTLY with this theme! This specific balloon set even includes the balloon arch kit and instructions (online at least). The colors are a bolder version of the rest of the decorations, which will help draw the eyes right to where you want them, at this sweet balloon arch. This can be used to take pictures under, to set presents on a table framed by it, or even just as a little welcome hint to guests as to which house is yours. Leave a few of these balloons loose for the babies to lose their minds over, and you've got yourself a party!

You can really go crazy here and buy more themed items, such as ducky straw toppers, or blue straws with polka dots. Buy a giant duck to put in the yard for the kids to play on. Create a blue jello bowl with ducks sitting on top as if they are floating. The options are endless, and I'm going to leave the rest of the creativity to you. I just want to gather the main pieces and decor to help inspire you to create an affordable and fun party without so much stress.

If you are looking for any theme in particular, or an age I have not yet covered, please comment or message me so I can be sure to post whatever ideas you may want to see!

Above all else, don't stress, care less, and have fun!
